Our past
Established in 2005, the VetEnvoy software was the first of its kind. Working closely with the XML consortium, it connected a Practice Management System (PMS) with an insurer claims assessment system, establishing the digital claim process.
In 2017, Allianz Holdings PLC purchased Petios Limited (formally known as Vet Envoy Limited). The following five years saw the business develop and show its potential of providing a software that could transform how a vet practice passes data through the vet ecosystem.
Since 2022, the business has connected with all corporate vet groups and over 75% independent vet practices.
In 2025, we are excited to announce the launch of the Petios system and moving our partners onto this new software as a service platform.
Our future
In 2025, we announced that the business is moving into the Allianz Specialty business with the aim of enhancing the pet insurance service offerings underwritten by Allianz Insurance PLC and to deliver greater value for Allianz Specialityās customers. As a result of this change, we will no longer be providing services to new insurance businesses. Ā It is our intention to continue to provide services to lab and microchip companies.
